Ending hunger everywhere
Chances are, you're probably hungry while ready this! While this is just a wild guess and we hope you've had plenty to eat; it is a fact that the number of hungry people in the world is growing. In 2017, the number of people who lacked food security grew to over 820 million, or 1 in every 9 people. Hunger may lead to malnutrition, which doesn't help the body in creating the fuel it needs to build muscle and fight infections or diseases. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, over 41 million Americans face hunger, including 13 million children. So, if we want to build amazing communities that contributes to a sustainable future, it is imperative that we continue to work on long-term solutions.

What can we do about it?

Social Entrepreneurs are such as Tristram Stuart, founder of Feedback, and Nnaemeka Ikegwuonuu, founder of ColdHubs have launched great social ventures to fight global food waste and get us closer to a zero hunger global community. We need more innovators to create and launch solutions that will help us tackle food insecurity.
Community members can start by making conscious changes at home or at work, while supporting local farmers market and making sustainable food choices.
Community leaders can support consumers and voters in demanding businesses and governments to make changes which can help make Zero Hunger a reality.
